In Lancashire they developed their own set of criteria about what was expected in a support plan. We worked with them to develop detailed information about that criteria. We also developed a workbook and a graphic template that matched that criteria, that people can use develop support plans.

Support planning is about people being given the tools to think systematically  about what they want and need to live a good life. One of the beauties of support planning is its simplicity.  But that simplicity is deceptive in a way: it is clearly not the case that all support plans are good plans, and the Authorities continue to have a duty to ensure that public money is spent on meeting identified and agreed outcomes.
